It's said to see one of the great technological breakthroughs go away, if not surprising.

And it's sad that yet another company famous for something no longer offers it. AT&T doesn't seek residential phone customers, Montgomery Ward doens't have a catalogue, and now this.

Clever post.

Oh man, it's the end of an era. *sigh* I guess in the era of cheap phone rates and ubiquitous email, telegrams are no longer the best way to to send a cost-effective, important message. Sad, though.

So, now, if I'm writing a movie, how do I send a message?

Now I have Telegraph Line running through my head, and it won't....

Thank you. I decided to be creative with this one, even though by Internet standards I was technically shouting.

Old Cary Grant fine, how you?

I guess they'd now saw, "If you want to send a message, use the Internet." Not as pizzazzy, though.

One of my favorite nonfiction books is The Victorian Internet. Ah, the end of an era.

Wow. Makes sense, I suppose, but that's still sad...

What would Dr. Emmett Brown do to get his message to Marty McFly?
