Back to the Future Timeline on Wikipedia

Some folks have way too much time on their hands....apparently, eight or nine timelines worth.

That's nothing.

Enormous Primer spoilers if you read the details, but just a glance won't hurt:

What is Primer? I don't think I've ever heard of it.

It's a truly-independent time travel sci-fi flick that doesn't use the words "time travel" anywhere in it. It was shown at the Boston SF movie marathon a couple years back. It was clearly made for the cost of the film stock, in storage facilities and the cast's garages and living rooms. It's also probably the best time travel story I've seen on a screen excepting Back to the Future 1 and City on the Edge of Forever. Largely for the geeky "accuracy" of the characters, but also for the technical internal consistency of the time travel (at least, I *think* it works--Regis has meditated on the plot far more than I and I think she's still not certain).

It's certainly flawed, but largely in low-budget ways rather than artistic ones. Shame about the sound quality in many scenes.

I can lend you the DVD, but IMO it's worth buying. :)

At any rate, you can safely look at the image I linked to if you don't read any of the text, and just take in the overall *shape* of it all. It's large enough that you'd probably have to make a specific effort to read text.

Oh, I had already taken a look at the image. I figured that if I didn't understand it, I wouldn't be spoiled. :-)

I think I have an interest in borrowing the DVD.

I don't even have enough interest to read the entire thing.
