Sure, but at least the bad review was based on the actual movie rather than a corrupted version. People who just for themselves rather than using reviews might find that the filter becomes invisible enough that they ascribe their reactions to "bad movie" rather than "bad filter".
Sure, it could work in the other direction too, but I'm guessing that wouldn't be nearly as frequent.
