A few years ago, Carver (or Jeff as I tend to call him when I run into him at conventions) developed a full curriculum and syllabus for a course on writing science fiction. At the time, if I recall correctly, he made the course available for sale on CD-ROM.
Well, as of now, he has posted the entire course on the web. You can find it at http://www.writesf.com. I cannot recommend it highly enough. if you're interested in writing SF, go take a look and browse through the pages. Everyone will find something of use or of interest.
And, not to sound like I'm shilling, but perhaps we can all thank Jeff by buying one of his books. I understand that he's just written the novelization of the Battlestar Galactica pilot...
