I know, I know, people want to hear about how Muffin and Squeaker fared during Hurricane Irene. However, we're still processing that one.

Instead, The Brookline Parent column for Brookline Patch this week, The Bedtime Wars, is all about the "fight" we sometimes have with Muffin and Squeaker when it's time for them to go to bed. What I find fascinating is that even when they're tired and obviously want to go to sleep, they fight us, and sometimes the more tired they are the more they fight.

Nomi wrote the column in a white heat one night last week, after a particularly challenging night that culminated in the breaking of the girls' room fan chain. As a result, their only fan speed options for last weekend were high and off (well, except when the power went out). Fortunately, they seemed to understand, and they were patient as we waited for someone to come and fix the fan.

Anyway, go read The Bedtime Wars and learn a little more about the difference between theory and practice when it comes to putting twin toddler girls to bed.
