Abraham J. Karp, 1921-2003
Nov. 24th, 2003 08:14 pmI just found out that my uncle Avram has died. He was married to my father's sister Debby. Nomi and I rushing to NYC for the funeral early tomorrow morning, and we'll be back home late tomorrow night.
For a short bio of my uncle, there's one here (but the picture isn't of him):

Date: 2003-11-25 12:27 pm (UTC)I had an odd thought seeing your post, on a tangent (natch). Through most of America Debs spell their name "Debbie". This makes the third Jewish Deb I know of whose name I know the spelling, and it's "Debby". I'm just a smidge intrigued to know if it might be a Jewish thing, a Northeast thing or just some fluke.
