Baruch Dayan ha-Emet: Gerson Elliot Greene

For those of you who are friends of Andrew Greene, who blogs on LiveJournal as 530nm330hz, I regret to say that Andrew's father, Gerson Elliot Greene, passed away early this morning. Andrew has posted more information here, including information about funeral services and shiva.

Andrew and I went to high school together. We met in ninth grade and have been close ever since. I just spoke to him and he's doing as well as can be expected.

I'd like to try to get to the funeral if possible, but it would be difficult. If anyone else reading this is planning to drive down to NYC for the funeral and back to the Boston area in time for shabbat, and has room for a passenger, please let me know.
