As a fundraiser to help get Walter Koenig a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, Ebay is offering a chance for the highest bidder to have dinner with Harlan Ellison.

Which led to the inevitable joke question, which suddenly and mysteriously is now also being offered on Ebay:

I know that was *my* first question.

I have six days to get in my bid; we'lll see (because I actually like Walter Koenig, both in ST and in B5, I might actually bid on the not auction; I will definitely not bid on the dinner auction).

On the other hand, the “how much to have dinner with Harlan Ellison?” auction could also be looked upon as a “how much for the bragging rights to say you stood Harlan Ellison up for dinner?” auction. That, I’d bid on.
