I find the predictions amusing. As if we're supposed to exhibit surprise at 6 more weeks of winter. Phil is, if nothing, predictable. Same shadow, year after year. Good movie came from it, though.

Well, over here in Pittsburgh I did not see my shadow this morning, meaning it's spring!
After a cold December, we've had a mild January. It's supposed to be very cold here again starting next week.

Nope. Thanks in advance!
I got two cards from my mother though...
(Well, that's not quite as weird as it sounds. She stuck a birthday card in with my Christmas presents months ago, then sent me that I got yesterday.)

Hm. We thought we had mailed it in time to arrive early. Well, happy birthday!
Let us know when it arrives. We may have to adjust our card mailing schedule.

Only
six more weeks of winter -- i.e., till March 16 -- would be quite a good deal in New England!

Six
more
weeks of winter? I don't think we've even had six weeks' worth yet up here.
January 2006 in Minnesota: Warmest since January 1846.
