So yesterday as I was driving home from work, I noticed one of the warning lights blinking on the dashboard. I pulled over the car and checked the manual to discover that the light was the low coolent level / high coolent temperature light. (It actually has a much longer name than that, but that was the general gist of things.

I pulled into a nearby driveway, called AAA, and had my car towed to the local Elias Audy Mobil station on route 9. After meeting with Mr. Audy himself, I filled out the paperwork with Ray Abdella. Mr. Audy and Mr. Adbella both looked under the hood with me, and I got to see that my coolent was not only low – it was congealed. They said they would flush the radiator, replace the coolent, and while they were at it, change my oil and filter.

Today I got a lift to and from work with one of the parents at the school. I got back to my car this afternoon, all fixed up, and drove her home.

I'm much happier now. It could have been worse, I suppose.

The lesson I learned – don't skip a service appointment...

Definitely - and always listen to the little red lights! Glad it wasn't anything more serious.
