Cheese Weasel, redux

In my LJ, zmook asked what the Cheese Weasel thing is all about. Does anyone have the link to the post that explains it all? I know someone pointed me towards it last year, but apparently I can't go back that far on my friends list...

Edited to add: Aha! Thanks to happypete, I see that there is a website: http://www.cheeseweasel.com. It explains a little bit, and has a wav file of the Cheese Weasel song being sung.

aha. as you might have guessed, this is a tradition I could get behind, if only I knew it existed. but as it's clearly one step too lame to have a belated cheese weasel day, I'll have to remember it for next year.

Whether you should care depends on how much you enjoy silly traditions.

According to one of the posts I've referenced, one day a computer engineer or a few of them saw a weasel carrying a piece of cheese in its mouth. They decided that it was delivering cheese to all the good people of the world, and since it was April 3rd, they decided that April 3rd was Cheese Weasel Day. A cute mythology has sprung up in certain circles about the Cheese Weasel. The upshot is that if you find a piece of cheese next to your computer keyboard on April 3rd, it was most likely brought by the Cheese Weasel.

Personally, I've never found cheese next to my keyboard, but I can always dream.
