So, just after the Jewish holidays came to an end, Nomi and I headed downstairs to run errands, only to find the first shipment of pre-orders and books for the publication party on our (figurative) doorstep.

If you pre-ordered, you'll still have to wait until after the pub date for your books to arrive, as I won't be signing any until November 2, the date of the party.

It's a real book. Wow.

I sure hope they gave you enough to sign some more pre-orders, seeing how they're still selling them, even as of today.

Naturally, I signed up for one. It wound up taking much longer than I would have liked, but the site only takes PayPal and THOSE idiots took five full business days to move the money from my checking account to my PayPal account- three days AFTER my bank debited said account for the funds.

That's odd. As far as I knew, the pre-orders for signed copies had a deadline of October 15. (I even posted about that right here, at http://mabfan.livejournal.com/401783.html on October 8.)

I'll look into this; however, I think I might be able to get the publisher to send me an extra HC for signing for you.

Okay, I checked with the publisher. It turned out to be an error; the website was supposed to switch over to simply say "Hardcover" and not "Signed Hardcover" after October 15. It reads correctly now.

However, because you did order it as a "Signed Hardcover," the publisher is sending an extra hardcover copy for me to sign to you. Thanks for letting us know that it still read that way; it would have been bad had people started getting the unsigned hardcovers and asking us about that...
