Dear Ms. Baker,

As one writer to another, I just wanted to drop you a note to say that I started reading your Company novels recently, and am enjoying them immensely.

Sincerely,
Michael A. Burstein

Thank you for brightening up a grim Monday! You're one of the Asimov's crew too, aren't you?

Analog, actually.

Glad to hear I brightened your day!

I know I've read a few of your Asimov's stories, but for some reason I never got around to reading your Company novels. (I'm not sure why I didn't, especially given that a good friend of mine enthusiastically recommended them, and I love time travel stories.) Anyway, I just started borrowing them from the library last month, and read the first three in rapid succession. I'm in the middle of GRAVEYARD GAME now (don't tell me what happens!)

As soon as I'm done with it, I'm going to have to go out and buy the set, including the latest.

(By the way, I made a point of praising the books in my latest blog entry.)

Best,
Michael

Statement from her sister here.

She was a really good writer. Her "Son Observe the Time" is one of my most favorite SF stories.
