After thinking about it, I decided not to revisit the concept of routines just yet in our current The Brookline Parent column up at Brookline Patch. Instead, given the wonderful snowstorm that hit Brookline last week, I thought I'd share our experiences of trying to get Muffin and Squeaker to play in the snow.

The column can be found here:

Snow Thanks, I’ll Wait For Summer.

Go click on the link, to see an adorable picture of our kids standing on the window sill watching the snowstorm.

My two weren't especially thrilled by snow last year, but this year they're (pardon the pun) definitely warming up to it. My girl loves to stomp in it, and getting her from point A to point B in a timely manner if there's snow in between has become a battle of wills. My guy is not quite as enthused as she is, but he's getting there. I don't think they like the sensation of snow touching their skin, but if they've got mittens and boots they're good to go outside for an hour or more.

So maybe next year you'll have a better time of it. (-:
