Nebula News
Feb. 15th, 2005 07:18 amThey released the final Nebula ballot this morning, and sad to say, neither "Paying It Forward" nor "Time Ablaze" progressed from the preliminary ballot to the final one.
The good part of this is that the Nebula banquet was scheduled during the last few days of Passover. Now I don't have to feel so bad that I'll be missing it.

Date: 2005-02-15 10:48 pm (UTC)An amusing irony -- a friend of mine who is an active fan and a member of SFWA read "Paying It Forward" when it first came out. His feeling was that the story would appeal much more to writers than anyone else. He predicted it would show up on the Nebula ballot but not the Hugo ballot.
Instead, of course, it came in second on the Hugo and did not make it to the Nebula ballot.

Date: 2005-02-16 12:37 pm (UTC)Thank you, but I'm not sure what you mean by saying you tried. Unless you're a SFWA member, you can't vote in the Nebulas.... Are you a SFWA member? If you are, and you did vote for my stories, then let me say thank you again.
